Embraer Industry Collaborator’s Summit 2019

We had the pleasure and honor of being invited to Embraer’s Industry Collaborator’s Summit this past week. It was truly a unique, behind-the-scenes experience of how one of the top executive jet manufacturers operates their business. The intimacy of the event — there were only around 50 people — lent itself to great networking, an up-close look at the intricacies of jet manufacturing/sales process, and a brass-tacks education on their product line.

They made several of their aircraft available for demo, including the ultra-large-cabin Lineage 1000. I personally flew on the Legacy 450, which is a phenomenal machine. This was an all-around first-class event hosted by the Embraer Executive Jets CEO, Michael Amalfitano. Comprised mainly of aircraft brokers, appraisers, and bankers, this year’s event was the first to include insurance. Working with a number of the Embraer sales reps over the past year led to them learning how impactful insurance has become to their deals in this hard market, so much so that it was worth discussing at their annual event. We certainly look forward to continuing our relationship with Embraer and everyone there.

They represent the top class of the industry — for instance, the Phenom 300 is the top-selling executive jet of the decade — and we’re excited to partner with them. With their US headquarters just down the street from Kennedy Space Center, we even got to chat with a few shuttle astronauts!
