Shifting Gears: It’s Summertime!
This summer is poised to look a lot different than last summer — in the best way! If we’re being honest, it’s been mentally taxing and exhausting to constantly report on the negative. Between the state of the aviation insurance market and being on the back end of the pandemic, it’s unfortunately been nothing but doom and gloom for the past year or more.
It’s time to take a break from that and focus on something a bit more positive and fun —summer! Hopefully, many of you are getting back to those summer vacations (understandably modified, in some cases) and reigniting some family traditions. I know many of our clients are already taking to the skies to go to their favorite lake or to maybe try a new location they’ve never been to.
Perhaps a decent byproduct of the pandemic is that it forced people to try new things, go to new places, and do things they may have never done. Maybe some of those things have become annual family events. A minor consolation, maybe, but it’s all about how you look at it. We’ve heard stories of people going on a camping trip nearby instead of trekking to a beach down south. Others have been redirecting their travel funds and taking flying lessons or picking up another hobby because it’s still maybe not the time to take that trip abroad. There are many more stories like these. The point is, everything that went on this past year has certainly affected everyone in some way.
However, we’re hearing many stories of people taking that curveball and knocking it out of the park. These are the situations that give a positive spin on otherwise negative circumstances. We’re seeing a lot of regular events come back, and in time, most things will return to normal. Until then, we encourage you to take up a new hobby, try something new, or travel to a place you otherwise wouldn’t. You’ll be surprised how much is out there, even if it’s not what you originally planned! Another thing: if anyone needs any assistance finding flight schools or wants to take a helicopter tour, please let us know. We have several clients all over the country ready and willing to offer their services!
