ASI, Enstrom Partner to Resurrect Popular Insurance Program
Aviation Specialty Insurance has partnered with Enstrom Helicopter Corporation to reintroduce an insurance program tailor-made for Enstrom owners and operators, the Enstrom Owner’s Program. The program promises customers ultra-competitive rates, tiered rating credits based on pilot experience, five liability limit options, instant rate indications, and more.
Customers can also expect to receive instant quotes and lightning-fast response times. An A+ rated aviation carrier will underwrite the program. This is the same carrier Enstrom corporate uses to handle claims, so the carrier has a vested interest in handling all claims expeditiously.
Eleanor Shay served as administrator for the original Enstrom Owner’s Program from its launch in 1979 to her retirement in 2005, developing it into the most successful manufacturer insurance program of its time.
Today, Shay’s protégé and tenured Enstrom operator Roger Sharkey has become the resurrected program’s biggest advocate. He helped coordinate the partnership between Enstrom and ASI, two companies belonging to the Surack Enterprises family of businesses.
“Eleanor knew the secret to developing a loyal customer base,” said Sharkey. “By promoting safety, prioritizing maintenance, and encouraging pilots to better their skills, she found she could reduce the total number of claims, thus keeping costs low for everyone.”
Anyone interested in joining the owner’s program should contact ASI President Matt Drummelsmith by email at matt@aviationspecialtyinsurance.com or by phone at (888) 653-4440. He will ask a few questions and then instantly provide applicants with a real-time premium indication.
“We are thrilled to bring this program back,” said Drummelsmith. “We’ve spent the better part of a year diligently developing this product, and my hope is that it’s a tremendous asset to Enstrom owners everywhere. We look forward to meeting everyone at HAI HELI-EXPO and talking about the program in more detail.”
Aviation Specialty Insurance will occupy booth #6013 at HELI-EXPO, just a short walk from Enstrom’s booth #6102.
